Governor names Andrea Trevino as Allen County Judge

INDIANAPOLIS - Gov. Eric Holcomb on Thursday named Andrea Trevino as the newest Allen County Superior Court Judge in the Family Relations Division.

Trevino currently serves as magistrate in the Allen County Circuit Court. Prior to her appointment as magistrate in 2013, she was in private practice.

As one of two Superior Court judges assigned to the Family Relations Division, Trevino will have responsibility not only for juvenile and family-related cases, but also will oversee the Allen County Juvenile Center and its staff.

A nominating commission had forwarded three names for Holcomb's consideration, including Magistrates Michael Douglass and Daniel Pappas.

A graduate of South Side High School and a life-long resident of Allen County, Trevino graduated from St. Joseph's College and then the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2003. While at Beckman Lawson, Trevino focused primarily on civil litigation and family law.

She will be sworn in at a date to be determined, a news release said.
