Indiana Tech proposes 2 buildings across from main campus

Matthew LeBlanc | The Journal Gazette

Two buildings planned by Indiana Tech would house students and include retail space.

The university filed paperwork this week with the Allen County Department of Planning Services for the buildings, which would be located at 1411 E. Washington Blvd., across from the main campus.

One building would include retail on the first floor, with student housing on the top three floors; the other is planned as a three-story residential hall.

"Indiana Tech desires to provide student housing and neighborhood services as close to the main campus as possible," documents filed with the county state.

The project could be discussed at a public hearing Sept. 10.
