Officer's death ruled from natural causes

Fort Wayne Police Officer David A. Tinsley died from natural causes following a vehicle pursuit, the Allen County coroner's office said today.
Tinsley, 50, was on duty Monday night when he was involved in a vehicle pursuit that ended along the Rivergreenway path near Candlelite Apartments, the coroner's office said in a statement.
He collapsed on the Rivergreenway and was taken to a local hospital, where death was pronounced shortly after arrival, the statement said.
It said the cause of death was atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
The death remains under investigation by city police, the coroner's office and the county prosecutor's office.
