Verbatim: Paul Spoelhof named planning & policy director

The city of Fort Wayne issued the following news release Monday:

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Paul Spoelhof is the City of Fort Wayne’s new Planning & Policy Director. Spoelhof replaces Pam Holocher, who retired after 40 years of service to the City of Fort Wayne.

Spoelhof has worked for the City of Fort Wayne Planning & Policy Department for 21 years and his most recent title was Community Development Administrator – Senior Planner. He holds a Masters of Public Administration from Indiana University and has worked on downtown, neighborhood, transportation and annexation plans. He serves on the boards of Fort Wayne Trails and the Fort Wayne Community Schools Foundation.

“Paul cares deeply about the Fort Wayne community and making it a welcoming and attractive place for all residents and businesses,” said Cindy Joyner, director of the Community Development Division. “He and his staff will continue to provide innovative and thoughtful strategic planning work to our economic development, active transportation, neighborhood and placemaking initiatives.”
