Freeland Farm sold at auction
SHERRY SLATER | The Journal Gazette
The 25-acre Freeland Farm, one of three available properties owned by the late Pizza Hut franchise owner, Dick Freeland, sold today at auction for $675,000.
Lisa Anne Schrader, who the conducted the auction for Reecer Properties, said Freeland had invested almost $5 million in the property, which includes 47 horse stalls, state-of-art horse-breeding facilities and an indoor show ring.
Business partners Travis Platt and Robert Andrews placed the winning bid. They raise show pigs, but Platt declined to say whether this property at 10127 Kress Road is Roanoke will be used for that purpose or another.
