Jury selection began today in the trial of a Fort Wayne man allegedly caught on surveillance video shooting to death a man last year.
Bryan L. Flowers, 35, is charged with murder in the death of De'andre Voss, 32, He shot Voss in the head Dec. 23 in front of an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Greene Street, a probable cause affidavit alleges.
The slaying was captured by a surveillance camera, and DNA from a cigarette butt left at the scene tied Flowers to the crime, investigators said.
Opening statements are expected later today, and the trial is expected to last three days, Allen County Deputy Prosecutor Adam Mildred said. Witnesses will include experts on DNA and firearms evidence, he said.
