The Journal Gazette
Triton Metal Products of Hamilton, a manufacturer of precision metal products, said today it will invest $9.6 million in a 20,000-square-foot expansion that will create 13 full-time jobs.
“The incentives from state, regional and local sources create a tremendous opportunity for us,” said John Freudenberger, CEO of Triton Metal Products, in a statement. “At Triton, we’re all about making a meaningful difference in the lives of our team, our community and our customers. These funds help us to do just that."
Jobs created will include production team members, customer service representatives, engineers and management positions, the company said.
Freudenberger anticipates breaking ground on the expansion in April, with construction completed by this fall.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Triton Metal Products up to $90,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. These incentives are performance-based, meaning that until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives.
Northeast Indiana Works offered incentives through talent recruitment, training and computer workshops. Hamilton offered the company $178,651 in tax abatements.
