Indiana's unemployment rate is unchanged at 3.6% in April, the same as the U.S. rate, the state Department of Workforce Development said today.
The state's labor force gained 1,349 workers from the previous month, the department said in a statement.
It said private-sector employment decreased by 3,600 from March, primarily because of losses in the financial activities and the manufacturing sectors. The losses were partly offset by gains in the leisure and hospitality and the construction sectors.
