Isolated strong to severe storms possible this afternoon
The Journal Gazette
Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio, the National Weather Service said.
Widespread severe weather is not expected, the weather service said.
It said winds may gust to more than 50 mph with the strongest storms. The greatest risk is west of Interstate 69.
High temperatures near 90 this afternoon will cause heat indices to reach the mid- to upper 90s, the weather service said. It said periodic storms are possible the rest of this week that could bring locally heavy rain and strong winds.
