The AARP Tax-Aide Program begins this week and offers free assistance to low- and moderate-income taxpayers.

•Community Center, 233 W. Main St.; 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday through April 13; 427-6460.

•St. Joseph Hospital Senior Circle, 700 Broadway; 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Wednesday through April 11; by appointment; 425-3087.

  • St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1101 S. Lafayette St., Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12 to 3 p.m.
  • Residents can also call the Euell A. Wilson Center at 260-456-2917.
  • Fort Wayne Enterprise Center, 1830 Wayne Trace, call 260-424-3505 to make an appointment for assistance in filing their tax return.
  • In DeKalb and Noble counties, residents can call RSVP at 260-925-0917 to make an appointment at either Auburn’s RSVP site or at the Ligonier Police Department.
  • Individuals with disabilities may get assistance by calling 2-1-1 to make an appointment
  • Active military and National Guard personnel can receive assistance at all of the above sites by appointment by calling the Volunteer Center at 260-424-3505.
