IU to play at Seton Hall; Gelon reportedly transferring

Another piece of Indiana's 2017-18 schedule became known Wednesday when matchups were announced for the Gavitt Tipoff Games, which pit Big Ten schools against ones from the Big East in honor of Big East founder Dave Gavitt.
The Hoosiers will play at Seton Hall on Nov. 15. It will be IU's first time facing the Pirates at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The programs have met three times, with IU winning two, but those contests were at neutral sites.
In other news, Scout.com reported reserve guard Grant Gelon has been granted a release from his scholarship. If Gelon indeed transfers, it would end his Hoosiers career after one season. The Crown Point native played in only 12 games as a freshman for a total of 38 minutes. Also if Gelon departs, IU would have 12 scholarship players, one less than the NCAA's limit of 13.
