Halftime thoughts: Indiana 44, Michigan State 30
Chris Goff | The Journal Gazette
BLOOMINGTON — Indiana, playing without OG Anunoby, Juwan Morgan and Collin Hartman due to injuries, has responded to adversity with one of its more impressive performances of the season.
The Hoosiers went up 15 with 3:08 remaining in the first half and led by 17 before settling for the 14-point edge at halftime. James Blackmon Jr. has 18 points, putting him in position to make a degree of history if he keeps up his hot shooting. He made his first six attempts, including four 3-pointers, before missing his seventh try on a drive. The last Hoosier to score 40 in a game was Alan Henderson in 1994.
Michigan State is shooting 44 percent and is led by Eron Harris with 11 points. Leading scorer Miles Bridges has only three points and has missed five of six shots.
