OG Anunoby out indefinitely, Crean says
Chris Goff | The Journal Gazette
Indiana forward OG Anunoby is out indefinitely, according to a short statement the Hoosiers put out Thursday night from coach Tom Crean.
"OG sustained a knee injury in Wednesday night's game against Penn State and is in the midst of ongoing medical evaluations," Crean said. "He will be out indefinitely. On behalf of OG and our entire program, we thank you for all of the support and well wishes that have been sent his way."
Not present in the release were the results of any magnetic resonance imaging test performed on Anunoby's right knee. Nor was there any description of the exact nature of the injury.
The sophomore is averaging 11.1 points and 5.4 rebounds despite having two games cut short due to illness or injury and missing three entirely due to a high-ankle sprain.
The Hoosiers play Michigan State on Saturday in Bloomington but then have four days off before a road game against Michigan.
