Pregame: Indiana (13-6) vs. Michigan State (12-7)
Chris Goff | The Journal Gazette
BLOOMINGTON — Indiana coach Tom Crean said during his pregame radio interview he doesn't believe forward Juwan Morgan will be able to play. That puts the Hoosiers at a significant disadvantage in their first game since announcing OG Anunoby would undergo season-ending surgery on his right knee.
Because Collin Hartman is also out, Crean said walk-on Zach McRoberts will get a start at power forward, joined by Robert Johnson, Thomas Bryant, Josh Newkirk and James Blackmon Jr. in the starting group.
Michigan State has won the last five meetings, including a 74-72 decision in the last clash in Bloomington. Indiana maintains a 67-53 edge in the all-time series, which began in 1920.
The Spartans haven't played since losing 72-67 at Ohio State on Sunday. They have wins against Minnesota, Northwestern and Wichita State but have also lost to Northeastern.
