Game 7: TinCaps (2-4) vs. South Bend (3-3)

The TinCaps are coming off a 7-2 loss to South Bend on Tuesday night.

Fort Wayne (2-4) had leads of 1-0 and 2-1 but the Cubs (3-3) broke a 2-2 tie with four runs in the seventh inning.

Right-hander Jesse Scholtens is starting for the TinCaps. In Scholten's last start in the season-opener against Bowling Green, he struck out 11, the most for a starter in the league so far this season.

Fort Wayne leads the Midwest League with 69 strikeouts. Ben Sheckler is tied for second with 12 in five innings of relief.

South Bend's Pedro Silverio, who pitched in Tuesday night's game, leads the league with 13.

Wednesday's game is the first of four 11:05 a.m. games in April and May at Parkview Field. The TinCaps will play two morning games on the road in May.
