TinCaps (58-61, 32-17 second half) at South Bend (62-56, 23-26)

Prior to the matchup with the Cubs, the TinCaps have moved catcher A.J. Kennedy to the 7-day disabled list, while pitcher Dauris Valdez has been promoted to the TinCaps and pitcher Dalton Erb has been transferred to Tri-City.

Fort Wayne finished the four-game series against Bowling Green at Parkview Field with a 6-4 loss on Sunday. Fernando Tatis Jr. had his 33rd multiple-hit game of the season with three hits, a walk and two scored run and Hudson Potts hit his 13th home run of the season.

In its last series against South Bend, the TinCaps swept the Cubs in a four-game series at Parkview Field. 

The TinCaps are the only team in the Midwest League to have three players with at least 13 home runs this season. Fort Wayne is one of five teams with four players with 10 homers.

Tatis is the first 18-year-old in the Midwest League to have 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases. He currently has 21 home runs and 28 stolen bases, based on numbers dating back to 1963. He was also recognized by Midwest League managers for "Best Infield Arm" in a survey conducted by Baseball America.
