TinCaps beat Lansing

LANSING, Mich. – Robbie Podorsky scored on a balk in the ninth inning, leading the TinCaps to a 4-3 win over the Lansing Lugnuts on Sunday.

Travis Radke got Norberto Obeso to ground out with a runner on first to end the game for his sixth save of the season.

The play capped a two-run inning and gave the TinCaps a 4-3 lead after Jalen Washington scored on a sacrifice earlier in the inning.

Luis Campusano and Esteury Ruiz hit RBI singles in the first and fourth innings to give the TinCaps a 2-0 lead. The Lugnuts came back to take a 3-2 lead in the seventh inning when Andres Sotillo hit a solo home run.

Caleb Boushley (3-1) got the win in relief while Claudio Custodio (0-1) took the loss.

For the Lugnuts, Sotillo homered and singled.

Despite the loss, Lansing is 5-2 against Fort Wayne this season.
