TinCaps beat Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Juan Fernandez hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning, leading the TinCaps to a 7-4 win over the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Tuesday.

The home run by Fernandez scored Gabriel Arias and Jalen Washington and was the game's last scoring play.

Kelvin Melean hit an RBI double, scoring Jeisson Rosario in the first inning to give the TinCaps a 1-0 lead. The Hot Rods came back to take the lead in the first inning when Taylor Walls hit a two-run home run.

Fort Wayne tied the game 4-4 in the seventh when Rosario scored on a stolen base.

Travis Radke (2-4) got the win with 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief while Phoenix Sanders (5-3) took the loss.
