New goalie for Toledo
JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette
TOLEDO, Ohio – Well, I guess we won’t be seeing Jake Paterson in net for the Toledo Walleye tonight for Game 1 of the Central Division finals against the Komets.
Toledo has signed Jeremy Brodeur – the son of Martin Brodeur – to back up Jeff Lerg tonight at the Huntington Center.
Paterson was injured – a high ankle sprain, according to the Toledo Blade – in Toledo’s Game 7 victory over Kalamazoo.
Jeremy Brodeur is a rookie fresh from Oshawa of the Ontario Hockey League.
Of course, it will be Pat Nagle in net for the Komets.
By the way, today the ECHL announced that the Huntington Center has the best ice in the ECHL, according to coaches.
