Houser back with Komets

Goaltender Michael Houser’s stay in the American Hockey League was a short one.
After backing up the Tucson Roadrunners’ Hunter Miska in a 5-4 victory over the Iowa Wild, Houser was returned to the Komets today.
Houser had been called up to the AHL on Saturday, one day after a terrific 22-save performance in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Cincinnati Cyclones.
The Roadrunners’ goaltending situation remains muddied – Miska was called up to the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, who entered the weekend with three goalies on their roster – but Houser is expected to remain with Fort Wayne for its upcoming game Friday against the Adirondack Thunder.
Houser is 2-0-1 with a 2.33 goals-against average and 66 saves on 73 shots. The Komets’ other goalie, Garrett Bartus, has stopped 20 of 23 shots in his only appearance – a 3-2 loss to the Kansas City Mavericks on Oct. 21.
