Tony Stewart to coach at ECHL All-Star Classic

Auto racing star Tony Stewart will be the celebrity coach of the North Division at the ECHL’s All-Star Classic on Monday in Indianapolis.

The format of the event will be a four-division 3-on-3 tournament.

Stewart retired from NASCAR in 2016 and is co-owner of Stewart-Haas Racing. He will be helped behind the bench by Indy Fuel assistant coach Ryan McGinnis. Coaching the other divisions will be: Colorado’s Aaron Schneekloth (Mountain Division), South Carolina’s Ryan Warsofsky (South Division) and the Fuel’s Bernie John (Central Division).

The ECHL also announced the broadcasters on NHL Network will be Idaho’s Brian McCormack, Cincinnati’s Everett Fitzhugh and Neil Smith, the former general manager of the New York Rangers. Indy’s Terry Ficorelli will call the games on 1070 AM and 1070TheFan.com.
