K's, Eagles still scoreless
JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette
Neither the Komets nor the Colorado Eagles were able to score a goal in the first period of Game 3 of the Western Conference finals. But both teams had chances. Fort Wayne goaltender Michael Houser's best save came on Shawn St-Amant and Joe Cannata's came against Bobby Shea, as both teams had 10 shots on goal.
It's been much less physical than it was in Game 2, a 3-2 victory by the Komets on Sunday in Loveland, Colorado. I'm not sure that will keep up. And I'm also not sure that doesn't benefit the Eagles, who were unnerved by the Komets in Game 2 and lost the special-teams battle.
