Readying for K's vs. Cyclones

The Komets are 21-11-4 heading into today's 8 p.m. game at Memorial Coliseum against the Cincinnati Cyclones, who are 17-15-4. While the Komets have been strong at home with a 14-5-0 record, Cincinnati has won only 7 of 10 road games this season.

Fort Wayne has won two of the three meetings between the teams, though Shawn Szydlowski led the Komets with one goal and five points and he's currently with Cleveland of the American Hockey League. Gabriel Desjardins and Jamie Schaafsma have three points each against the Cyclones. Cincinnati's Nick Huard has one goal and three points against Fort Wayne.

Getting an early lead with be crucial; Fort Wayne is 14-1-2 when leading after two periods and the Cyclones are an even better 17-1-0.
