Readying for K's vs. Mallards

The Komets are 19-9-3 heding into tonight’s game at Memorial Coliseum against the Quad City Mallards (18-12-2), who are coming off a 4-0 loss Friday night to Cincinnati and have lost three in a row.

The Komets have taken 5 of 6 games this season from the Mallards. Michael Parks, who has led the Mallards in those games with three goals and five points, won’t play tonight because of an injury. Also out is captain Chris Francis (injury) and goalie C.J. Motte (in American Hockey League).

The Komets have been paced against the Mallards by Kyle Thomas’ four goals and nine points. Jamie Schaafsma and Jason Binkley have eight points apiece.
