Dylan Sinn | The Journal Gazette
Welcome to all Fighting Irish football fans and regular readers of Irish Insight. My name is Dylan Sinn and as of Jan. 26, I am the new Notre Dame football beat writer for the Journal Gazette. I will be running this blog from now on, and I am very excited to get started. I am also covering Indiana Hoosiers basketball and TinCaps baseball.
A little about me: I was raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, but growing up my grandparents had season tickets to Michigan Wolverines football games. Some of my favorite memories from my childhood are games I attended at the Big House, including several clashes with the Fighting Irish. Of course, my days as a Michigan fan are (mostly) over and I will be completely objective in my reporting on the Fighting Irish.
I attended Indiana University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism in 2015. After graduating from IU, I worked toward a master's degree at the University of Maryland and graduated from there in 2017. After 18 months on the East Coast, I am thrilled to be living in the Midwest again.
From 2014 until very recently, I covered the Indiana football program for Peegs.com, writing recaps of games and deepening my knowledge of college football. I will be diving right into Notre Dame work with coverage of National Signing Day on Feb. 7.
I'm looking forward to interacting with the readers of this blog and I am active on Twitter, @DylanSinn. I welcome all questions, comments, complaints and shouting about my lack of knowledge of football because "you never played the game!" I will do my best to respond to all of your tweets.
I'm looking forward to covering Fighting Irish football and thank you for reading this blog and the entire Journal Gazette.
