Notre Dame added a player to its 2020 recruiting class Wednesday when tight end Kevin Bauman verbally committed to play for the Irish in two years.
"God. Country. Notre Dame," Bauman wrote on Twitter. "I am beyond blessed and excited to announce that I am committed to the University of Notre Dame to continue my academic and athletic career."
The 6-foot-5, 232-pound tight end is preparing for his junior season at Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey after catching 19 passes for 380 yards and five touchdowns as a sophomore. He is rated the No. 2 tight end in the class per 247sports.com and the No. 142 player overall.
Bauman is the second player from the 2020 class to choose Notre Dame after four-star quaterback Drew Pyne committed in April.
