Mad Ants need home cooking
JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette
The Mad Ants play eight of their first 11 games at Memorial Coliseum, including tonight against defending champion Raptors 905, so they need to make sure they take advantage of that.
They come into tonight 1-1 with two very different games, a 115-99 loss to the Long Island Nets in which they fell behind 22 points in the second quarter, got within two points and then let the Nets pull away and a 105-96 victory over the Greensboro Swarm in which they led almost the entire game and had a good killer instinct down the stretch.
What did the Mad Ants need to work on after that Tuesday victory? Namely not playing so loose with the ball, which led to myriad turnovers, and being more fluid on offense.
Defensively, though, the Mad Ants need to keep doing what they were doing.
