4 ways to end Ants' slump
JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette
The Mad Ants are riding a season-worst four-game losing streak heading into the 7 p.m. game at Memorial Coliseum against the Greensboro Swarm.
How do they reverse their fortunes? By following my plan.
A) The Mad Ants have been too reliant on outside shooting. They need to be penetrating more with Walt Lemon Jr. drives and then using the interior play of T.J. Leaf, Jarrod Uthoff and C.J. Fair.
B) The Mad Ants have been prone to giving up easy dunks and offensive rebounds. Uthoff, Ike Anigbogu and DeQuan Jones can help alleviate that under the Fort Wayne basket.
C) The chemistry isn’t what it was a few weeks ago. The movement of players to and from the Indiana Pacers will do that. But more communication on the court can help alleviate the problem.
D) I feel like the energy has been lacking. More use of players sich as Ben Moore, Je’lon Hornbeak and Trey McKinney Jones could alleviate that. But that would mean fewer minutes for the bigger prospects.
