Westchester's Miller: Coach of the Year
JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette
Mad Ants coach Steve Gansey may have led the Mad Ants to the Central Division title with a wildly different roster than last season, helped Walt Lemon Jr. and Trey McKinney Jones get their first NBA call-ups and overseen the development of young Indiana Pacers like Ike Anigbogu and Edmond Sumner, but he did not finish in the top three for G League Coach of the Year.
Mike Miller of the Westchester Knicks – I’ve long said he’s the best coach in the Knicks organization – today got the honor voted on by coaches and general managers.
He led Westchester to a conference-best 32 victories.
Austin’s Blake Ahearn finished second. Erie’s Josh Longstaff finished third.
Erie faces Fort Wayne in the second round of the playoffs at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Coliseum.
