Mad Ants lose 6th straight game

The Mad Ants’ woes continued with a 112-99 loss to the Delaware Blue Coats tonight in front of an announced crowd of 1,871 at 76ers Fieldhouse in Wilmington, Delaware.
Stephan Hicks led Fort Wayne with 19 points and eight rebounds, but his team was outscored 27-16 in the fourth quarter.
The Mad Ants (19-23) have lost six straight games and eight of their last nine.
Rashad Vaughn had 20 points for Delaware (17-23).
Norvel Pelle had 18 points and 12 rebounds, as the Blue Coats out-rebounded Fort Wayne 60-46.
Delaware’s Ryan Anderson had 13 points and 17 rebounds. Haywood Highsmith added 11 points and 11 rebounds.
The Mad Ants’ Rob Gray scored 18 points. Travin Thibodeaux had 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
But Fort Wayne squandered an early 33-23 lead, even though it was still up 64-55 at halftime. Delaware, which has won all three meetings this season between the teams, began its comeback with a 30-19 third-quarter run.
The Mad Ants play 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Long Island Nets.
