IPFW men sign Bradley transfer

The Journal Gazette

IPFW has signed Xzavier Taylor, formerly of Bradley, to play for the Mastodons' men's basketball team starting in the 2016-17 season, Coach Jon Coffman said today.

Taylor must sit out next year because of NCAA transfer rules, Coffman said in a statement.

"We are excited to have Xzavier join our program," he said. "Xzavier is an experienced, athletic, physical post. He brings two seasons of NCAA Division I experience in the Missouri Valley, coupled with playing at the highest level in both high school...and in AAU."

Taylor, a 6-9 forward, played two seasons at Bradley, averaged 3.1 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. He was named to the Missouri Valley Conference Honor Roll and received the MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award. He was also a second-team MVC Scholar-Athlete in 2015, and received the MVC Leadership & Service Award.
