JOURNAL GAZETTE

The IPFW men's volleyball team moved to 7-0 after a straight-set (25-17, 25-14, 25-19) win over Lourdes on Wednesday in Sylvania, Ohio. With the win, IPFW ends January without a loss.

Colton Stone paced the Mastodons with a reliable .375 with seven kills. Pelegrin Vargas was the only Mastodon in double-figures in kills (13). Defensively, Vargas had nine digs, Michael Keegan had six (all in the first set), Austin Gerwig had a career-high five and Stone had four. Kolbie Knorr had eight, which tied his high as a Mastodon. Austin Neace and Frederico Santos also had three digs. Richie Diedrich and Tomas Gago both had five block assists.

The Mastodons are back in action Feb. 2 when they travel to Loretto, Pennsylvania, to face Saint Francis. IPFW will play No. 8 Penn State the following day.
