Indiana Tech's men's lacrosse loses


No. 3 Indiana Tech lost to No. 2 Reinhardt (Ga.) 11-7 as the Warriors’ season came to an end at the NAIA National Invitational championship game at Aquinas in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Friday.


Tech (13-3) jumped to a 2-0 lead with goals from Andrew Ryan and Jace Childs and extended its lead to 5-1 with 11:19 left in the first half.

Reinhardt cut the deficit in half with 13 seconds left in the first quarter, but the Warriors scored three times in the opening five minutes of the second to extend their lead to 5-1 with 11:19 left in the first half.

Reinhardt, the defending NAIA National Invitational champions, tied the game at 7-7 with 12:49 left in the fourth quarter with the go-ahead goal coming at 10:35 and ended the period on a 6-0 run and ended the Warriors season for the second consecutive year.

Childs finished with two goals and two ground balls while Andrew Neller had four ground balls and won eight faceoffs. Evan Shuster made 13 saves in the cage.
