2 Boilers at NBA Combine

Purdue will have two players at the NBA Combine this weekend. Sophomore Carsen Edwards and departing senior Isaac Haas both received late invites after other players dropped out.

The Combine began Wednesday and runs through Sunday, after which players like Edwards, who have declared for the draft but not hired an agent, will have 10 days to decide whether they want to officially submit their names for the selection process or return to school.

Haas, the 7-foot-2 center, is still dealing with the effects of a broken elbow he suffered during the NCAA Tournament. He'll participate in interviews and other off-court portions of the Combine, according to Sports Illustrated's Jeremy Woo.

The NBA Combine is similar to the NFL version, where players are tested on a wide range of measurables, such as baseline-to-baseline speed and vertical leaping ability. Unlike the NFL Combine, the players also scrimmage while NBA coaches and scouts watch.
