Indiana Tech women's golf ranked 24th; releases fall schedule
The Indiana Tech women's golf team starts the fall season ranked No. 24, according to the NAIA Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll, which was released Friday.
The Warriors received 110 points in the poll. SCAD Savannah (Ga.) lead the poll with 498 points and 17 first-place votes. Bethel appeared at 23rd in the poll, and Indiana Wesleyan and Saint Francis also received votes.
Indiana Tech also released their Fall 2018 schedule Friday. The Warriors begin the fall season Monday at the two-day University of Northwestern Ohio Fall Invitational, which will be held in Bluffton and Lima, Ohio.
The team will play at the Lindsey Wilson Fall Invite in Columbia, Kentucky, on Sept. 3-4.
The Warriors' first local tournament will be the Battle of Brookwood, hosted by Huntington University and held Sept. 10-11 at Brookwood Golf Club. They will then attend the Blue Devil Classic in Gaylord, Michigan, Sept 24-25.
All three Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference events will be held in October, the first at Mines Golf Club in Grand Rapids on the 4th and 5th. The second event will be hosted by Lourdes at Sylvania Country Club in Sylvania, Ohio on Oct. 8-9. The final conference jamboree and fall event will be held Oct. 15-16 at Bluffton Golf Club and Hidden Creek Golf Club in Bluffton and Lima, Ohio, respectively.
