The Indiana Tech women's golf team won the Battle of Brookwood team title with a score of 610 Tuesday at Brookwood Golf Club. It is the team's first first-place finish this fall.
The 36-round score was just one stroke off the best in program history, and the first-day score of 302 was two strokes off the one-day record.
This is the third tournament this fall in which No. 24 Indiana Tech has finished first or second as a team.
Cecilia Heck took second overall at 150 (74-76) and Katie Giant tied for third at 153 (78-75). Makenna Hostetler of Indiana Wesleyan took first place with a score of 146.
Indiana Wesleyan finished second in the team competition, trailing the Warriors by two strokes.
