IPFW volleyball clinches spot in MIVA tourney

The IPFW men's volleyball team clinched a spot in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association tournament despite a 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-19) loss at No. 13 Lewis in its regular-season finale. Lindenwood fell to Ohio State to secure the Mastodons' 32nd consecutive tournament berth.

IPFW and Lindenwood were tied in the MIVA standings but the Mastodons had the third tiebreaker with head-to-head points. 

Andrew Sellan had eight kills, David Frazee added six kills and five blocks and Michael Keegan had 24 assists to lead the Mastodons (10-18, 3-13 MIVA).

Lewis (17-12, 10-6) was led by Patrick Lilly (12 kills), Julian Moses (10 kills), Scott Fifer (33 assists) and Michael Simmons (13 digs). 

The No. 8 seed Mastodons open the MIVA Tournament at No. 1 Ohio State on April 17. IPFW fell to Ohio State 3-0 on March 26 at the Gates Center.
