Indiana Tech men win 8th straight

The No. 18 Indiana Tech men's basketball team won its eighth straight game in a 74-60 win over Lourdes at the Schaefer Center on Saturday.

The teams were tied at 32 at halftime but the Warriors (18-6, 13-3 Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference) but went on a 12-3 run to open the second half and led by as much as 59-43 with 6:18 left in the game.

Miles Robinson scored 18 points to lead the Warriors and had a game-high seven assists. Jantzen Goodwin and Scott Schwieterman each scored 13 and Lavonte Davis added 10.

 

GRACE 76, GOSHEN 68: In Goshen, Erik Bowen scored 18, Logan Godfrey had 16 points and 11 rebounds, Charlie Warner had 14, Stephen Halstead added 11 and Chad Hoffer 10 for the Lancers (11-13, 3-9 Crossroads League).

Xavier Newson led the Maple Leafs (10-14, 3-9) with 22 points.

SPRING ARBOR 85, HUNTINGTON 72: In Spring Arbor, Michigan, Daniel Woll scored 16, Mason Coverstone added 11 and Austin Karazsia had 10 rebounds for the Foresters (14-10, 5-7 Crossroads League).

Paul Marandet and Drew Zuidema each scored 18 to lead the Cougars (14-10, 6-6).

CALVIN 61, TRINE 58: In Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kyle Dodson scored 17, Will Dixon added 12 and Adam Ciszewski 10 for the Thunder (9-10, 4-4 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association).

Tony DeWitte scored 19 to lead the Knights (11-8, 6-2).

MT. ST. JOSEPH 72, MANCHESTER 64: In Cincinnati, Tyler Alexander scored 33 on 13 of 18 shooting and 6 of 7 from the free-throw line to lead the Spartans (6-13, 4-8 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference).

Andrew Finley scored 15 for Mt. St. Joseph (15-4, 10-2).

MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE 70, SAINT FRANCIS 54: In Mount Vernon, Ohio, Conner Lautzenheiser led Saint Francis (16-8, 6-6 Crossroads League) and Kyle Sovine had 10.

Brett Vipperman scored 24 points, Deontae Cole added 16 and Josh Ashwill 11 for Mount Vernon Nazarene (17-7, 6-6).

Women

INDIANA TECH 88, LOURDES 61: At the Schaefer Center, Keanna Gary led the Warriors (17-6, 12-4 Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference) with her 16th double-double of the season with 26 points and 11 rebounds, Kendall Knapke had 23 points and 12 rebounds and Haley Cook added 13 points.

Molea Thompson scored 24 for the Gray Wolves (6-18, 4-12).

 

TRINE 69, ALBION 45: In Angola, Hayley Martin scored 15 and Brandi Dawson added 12 for the Thunder (17-2, 10-1 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association).

Oreyana Curry and Mackenzie Fairbanks scored seven for the Britons (14-5, 7-4).

HUNTINGTON 63, SPRING ARBOR 62: In Spring Arbor, Michigan, Miranda Palmer scored with three seconds left to lift the Foresters (12-11, 6-6 Crossroads League). Palmer scored 28 points, Allyson Trout added 12 and Brooke Saylor 10.

Kylie Townsley led the Cougars (11-13, 2-10) with 22 points.

MANCHESTER 58, MT. ST. JOSEPH 45: In Cincinnati, Torrie Christlieb scored 16 and Jenifer Lee added 13 for the Spartans (7-12, 6-6 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference).

Brooklyn Sturwold scored 18 for Mt. St. Joseph (1-18, 0-12).

IUPUI 62, IPFW 48: At the Gates Center, Selena Lozada led all players with 17 points and De'Jour Young added 10 at the Mastodons' 10th annual Pink Out game. With the loss, IPFW drops to 4-18, 1-8 in the Summit League.

Jenna Gunn and Mikale Rogers led the Jaguars (16.6, 6-3) with 15 points.

MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE 77, SAINT FRANCIS 69: In Mount Vernon, Ohio, Kara Gerka scored 19 and Lauren McBryar added 15 for Saint Francis (11-13, 6-6 Crossroads League).

Megan Beidelman had 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead Mount Vernon Nazarene (9-15, 3-9).

GOSHEN 72, GRACE 60: In Goshen, Darian Patton scored 13 and Kelsie Peterson and Haley Richardson each added 10 for the Lancers (12-12, 7-5 Crossroads League).

Sophia Sears scored 22 to lead the Maple Leafs (13-11, 7-5).
