Indiana Tech sets school record at track and field invite
The Indiana Tech men’s track and field team set a school record Friday in the distance medley relay on the first day of the Kentucky Invitational at Nutter Field House in Lexington, Kentucky.
The relay team of Matt Adair, Xavier Williams, Devon Marrow and Lucas Runyan finished in 10:06.65, three seconds better than the previous mark, and met the NAIA “A” standard while coming in fifth place.
Indiana Tech's women's distance medley team (Kerigan Riley, Alexius Loman, Alexis Lombardo and Anna Gorman) placed ninth at 12:40.18.
The Warriors' Te’Reia Mackey recorded her season-best 42 feet, 8 3/4 inches in the weight throw to come in 27th.
The invitational wraps up Saturday with the high jump at 9 a.m. and track events starting at noon with the 60 meter hurdles.
