Indiana Tech track teams ranked No. 1
The Indiana Tech men’s and women’s track and field teams are ranked No. 1 in the first United State Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association computer rankings.
The Warrior men, the defending national champions, have four athletes, Keejavon Moore (60 meters), Lucas Runyan (1000m), Alain Dixon (long jump) and Malik Stuart, ranked first in their respective events, while the Tech women have two athletes in the top spot, Tia Holmes (60m and long jump), Sherita Lowman (60m hurdles).
The men received 509.23 points while the women picked up 567.52 points. They lead the rankings by 234.5 and 288.55 points, respectively.
Also, junior sprinter Kejavon Moore was named NAIA National Men's Track Athletes of the Week. Moore won titles in the 60 and 200 meter sprints in his Tech debut at the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcat Invitational. The Arizona native hit the automatic qualifying standards in both events with times of 6.71 and 22.12, while he broke the school record in the prelims of the 60m with a 6.70.
