Mastodons set records in rout of Olivet

JOURNAL GAZETTE

IPFW men's basketball set single-game records in its 115-60 win over NCAA Division III Olivet at the Gates Center on Monday.

The team had 35 assists on 43 made baskets, tied for second in the country with Memphis and only one behind Oregon's 36 earlier this season.

The team also made 21 3-point baskets with the record-setting shot coming from Trevor Osborn. It was the walk-on's first ever 3-point basket.

It was a perfect opportunity for Coffman to give his bench more minutes and getting subs in rotation with starters.

The Mastodons' bench outscored the Comets' bench 59-29.

Mo Evans led the way with 21 points, Jax Levitch and Kason Harrell each had 14, Charles Ruise Jr. added 13, Jordon King 12, Bryson Scott 11 and Racine Talla 10.

For the Comets, Aaron Washington, a Snider graduate, had 15 points and Chris Chrzan added 13.
