Sens. Todd Young, R-Ind., and Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., are seeking applicants for two state-level leadership positions with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The jobs are state director of the Farm Services Agency and state director of Rural Development. The former position administers programs under Title I of the farm bill, purchase and operation loans, and some disaster programs; the latter position oversees housing and community facilities programs, business programs and utilities programs.

Young and Donnelly said they will review the applications and make a joint recommendation to President Donald Trump, who will choose the directors. The positions do not require Senate confirmation.

Qualified applicants should send a cover letter, résumé and up to three letters of recommendation by Aug. 18 to nominations@young.senate.gov.
