East Noble QB commits to Indiana State

East Noble's Andrew McCormick will be continuing his football career at Indiana State.

The senior quarterback officially announced the decision Friday.

East Noble coach Luke Amstutz sees Indiana State as a perfect fit for McCormick.

"He's got a program that's crazy about him and a school he loves," Amstutz said. "You want a kid who has those leadership skills. He has what every kid wants, and no one deserves it more than Andrew."

With hopes of one day coaching in college, McCormick plans to study education at Indiana State. With summer workouts already underway, he said he is excited to no longer worry about college decisions.

"It's nice. You're not thinking 'where I am going this week to visit?'" McCormick said. "You're not stressed out trying to get a specific offer. You can just go out and help your team win."

McCormick threw for 42 touchdowns and nearly 3,000 yards last season.
