Huntington North girls soccer posts shutout
The Huntington North girls soccer team defeated conference foe Columbia City 7-0 on Tuesday.
Hannah Tillett led the Vikings with three goals and two assists.
Karmen Koch added two goals and Amaya Sunderman and Autumn Anderson each scored one.
Adalyn Harvey and Faith Leist each recorded an assist.
Huntington North (6-0, 2-0 Northeast Eight) has outscored opponents 53-1 so far this season.
DEKALB 2, EAST NOBLE 1: At DeKalb, Faith Lewis scored the game-winning penalty kick late in the second half for the Barons (6-0-1, 2-0).
BI-COUNTY CONDITIONER: At Adams Central, in the girls race, South Adams' Olivia Von Gunten and Kallee Patch won the six-mile relay in 38 minutes, 48.7 seconds to lead the Starfires to a first-place team finish over runner-up Norwell.
Bellmont won the boys race over runner-up South Adams.
COLUMBIA CITY 197, EAST NOBLE 214: At Eagle Glen, Leah Bechtold led the Eagles with a 5-over 41. Shelby Targgart led the Knights with a 49.
LAKELAND CHRISTIAN 5, WINAMAC 0: Parker Stewart scored twice while Garrett McCoomb, Mark McQuade and Theran McKeever each added a goal for the Cougars as they snapped a three-game losing streak.
COLUMBIA CITY 3, CHURUBUSCO 1: At Churubusco, Bree Lahr led Columbia City with nine kills, 13 digs and three aces, Shianne Brooke had 31 assists and 13 digs and Sarah Pepple led the team with 26 digs.
HUNTINGTON NORTH 3, NORTHFIELD 0: Macy Niswander led the Vikings with 15 kills and four blocks, Brette Fawcett had 14 digs, Lydia Riggers had 31 assists and Katie Jamison had four aces.
