Canterbury wins state record 6th state soccer title


The No. 3 Canterbury boys soccer team won its record sixth state championship with a 2-1 win over top-ranked Covenant Christian in the Class A title game Saturday at Butler University in Indianapolis.

Michael Clark scored the game-winner in the 76 minute for the Cavaliers (13-6-3). Ben Kunce got the assist.

Jonathan Bowen had the first goal. 

Covenant Christian's Austin Wagner won the mental attitude award.
