Dwenger lineman commits to Wisconsin

Bishop Dwenger junior offensive lineman Joe Tippmann announced his commitment to Wisconsin on Twitter on Saturday.

"I was beyond blessed to go around the country, visiting different schools and meeting great coaches and great people," he wrote. "This has been such an amazing process and appreciate everyone that has been with me throughout it.

"I would like to thank all my friends and my family that have supported me, coach (Chris) Svarczkopf for doing so much for me in his last year before retirement and coach (Jason) Fabini for getting me the exposure."

Tippmann was an All-State selection this year as he helped the Saints to a regional championship. He also had offers from Iowa, Indiana and Purdue, plus interest from Notre Dame and Northwestern.
