Heritage boys top Woodlan in 2 OTs

The Heritage boys basketball team did just enough to win 47-45 in double-overtime at Woodlan on Friday.

The Warriors (4-7, 2-1 ACAC) led 22-20 at the half but the Patriots (11-1, 3-0) took a 31-29 lead at the end of three.

Heritage just needed to outscore Woodlan 2-0 in the second overtime period to win.

Walter Knapke scored 14, Lamar Hudson Jr. added 12 and Alec Burton 11 for the Patriots.

Aaron Hahn led the Warriors with 19 points.

WAYNE 65, NORTHROP 58: At Wayne, Craig Young led the Generals (8-5, 4-1 SAC) with 21 points and Dillon Redding added 17 in the win over the Bruins (4-10, 1-4).

CARROLL 53, SOUTH SIDE 41: At South Side, Dan McKeeman scored eight of his game-high 16 points from the free-throw line for the Chargers (10-2, 4-1 SAC). David Ejah scored 12 and Nathan Fish added 11.

Asher Blum had 14 points and eight rebounds, Cortney Shorter scored 11 and Amari Hall 10 for the Archers (9-5, 2-3).

ADAMS CENTRAL 50, BLUFFTON 27: At Adams Central, Brown scored 15 points to lead the Flying Jets (6-7, 2-2 ACAC), who led 21-8 at halftime.

Everett Johnson scored 10 for the Tigers (5-8, 1-3).

JAY COUNTY 52, SOUTH ADAMS 32: At Jay County, Andres Martinez led the Starfires (4-8, 1-2 ACAC) with 15 points and Cole Stigleman had 13 to lead the Patriots (8-6, 2-0).

CENTRAL NOBLE 49, EASTSIDE 46: At Eastside, Ridley Zolman scored 18 points and Lucas Deck added 15 for the Cougars (6-8, 3-3 NECC).

Caleb Ballentine led the Blazers (7-7, 2-3) with 14 points and Aaron Dean added 11.

Girls

BISHOP LUERS 58, BISHOP DWENGER 49: At Bishop Luers, Kathryn Knapke scored 18, Lydia Reimbold added 12 and Katelynn Gray 10 for the Knights (15-6, 3-5 SAC).

Ellen Ross led the Saints (10-7, 3-5) with 22 points, including 9 of 10 from the free-throw line, Olivia Sterba scored 11 and Molly Ream added 10.

CONCORDIA 56, SNIDER 29: At Snider, Chanteese Craig led the Cadets (12-7, 4-4 SAC) with 23 points, Carissa Garcia added 19 and Libby Hetler 12.

Hannah Barnes scored 15 for the Panthers (8-12, 3-5).

NORTHROP 79, WAYNE 19: At Wayne, Arielle Thatcher led the Bruins (18-2, 7-1 SAC) with 17 points, Niomi Dube scored 12 and Breanna Douglas had 11 points and 10 rebounds. The Generals fell to 2-17, 0-8.

BELLMONT 56, HUNTINGTON NORTH 43: At Bellmont, Grace Hunter scored 23 points and Meghan Busick added 13 for the Braves (16-4, 5-1 NE8) over the Vikings (11-8, 4-2).

LEO 37, EAST NOBLE 32: At East Noble, Sophia Pierce scored 13 for the Lions (11-8, 4-2 NE8), Hannah Adams added 12 and Brooke Smith lead the team with 12 rebounds.

Kara Kline scored 11 to lead the Knights (4-16, 2-4).
