Central Noble returning to semistate, Logansport

The Central Noble girls basketball team is headed back to semistate – and headed back to Logansport.

The No. 9 Cougars (21-5) will take on unranked Frankton (23-5) at 4 p.m. Saturday in a Class 2A semistate at the Berry Bowl.

Central Noble beat Hammond Noll 48-36 in the finals of the Winamac Regional on Saturday, while the Eagles beat No. 1 Oak Hill 68-58 in the Eastern Regional championship.

Last season, the Cougars fell to Oak Hill 42-33 in the 2A semistate in Logansport. 

In the 3A semistate at Logansport, Fairfield (24-2) plays Northwestern (27-1) at 7 p.m. Saturday.
