South Adams nips Adams Central in golf


Only one stroke separated South Adams and Adams Central girls golf at Wabash Valley on Wednesday. The Starfires shot a team score of 202 while the Flying Jets shot a 203. Claire Anderson of Adams Central shot the low score of the day at 38. Millie Gaskill shot the low for South Adams with 45.

CARROLL 195, EAST NOBLE 224: At Autumn Ridge, Carroll's Abbey Jackson shot the low score of the day with a 45. For East Noble, the low score came from Miranda Arnold with a 49.

DWENGER 198, NORTHROP 226: At Colonial Oaks, Nicole Hagen shot a low for the Saints of 41. Skylar Whitman and Treva Datcher both shot a low of 48 for the Bruins.

Girls soccer

WHITKO 2, WAWASEE 1: In South Whitley, Sidney Overmeyer and Audrey Bradford each netted a goal for the Wildcats. Hannah Lancaster scored the goal for the Warriors.

Boys soccer

CARROLL 2, LEO 1: At Carroll, Carroll's Noah Foshee scored in the 33rd minute and Nolan Gonzalez netted the game winner in the 48th minute. Reid Sproat scored in the 20th minute for the Lions.

Girls volleyball

CARROLL 3, BELLMONT 2: At Carroll, The Chargers defeated the Braves 26-24, 25-21, 20-25, 19-25, 16-14. Karsyn Moller led the Chargers with 17 kills.

Boys tennis

HOMESTEAD 5, WARSAW 0: In No. 1 singles, David Heiney defeated Warsaw's Caleb Williams 6-0, 6-0. In No. 2 singles, Homestead's Daniel Gilbert defeated Brian Elliot 6-0, 6-0. In No. 3 singles, Andrew Meier defeated Warsaw's Hayden Anderson 6-0, 6-0. In the No. 1 doubles spot, Homestead's Bryant Zitlaw and Tim Steiner defeated Spencer Britton and Nolan Knight 6-2, 6-2. In No. 2 doubles, Thaddeus Dressel and Landon Sather defeated Warsaw's Jarrett Orr and Michael Ray 6-1, 6-0.
