Boys sectional pairings released


The sectional pairings for the 107th IHSAA boys basketball tournament were announced Sunday.

Class 4A No. 2 North Side drew DeKalb in the first round of the sectional at Carroll and SAC regular season champion Snider drew a bye and will face either defending sectional champion Carroll or East Noble.

Snider and North Side could play in the sectional title game.

At Wayne, defending sectional champion Homestead drew South Side with the winner facing Wayne. Huntington North drew a bye and will face either Muncie Central or Jay County.

Defending sectional champion Warsaw drew Northridge in the Elkhart Central sectional.

In 3A, Leo faces Bishop Dwenger with the winners playing New Haven and defending champion Angola will face Concordia in the Garrett sectional with the winner facing the hosts.

At Bellmont, Mississinewa opens against Heritage with the winner facing Bishop Luers and the hosts face defending champion Columbia City with the winner advancing to face Norwell.

At Wawasee, the Warriors open against Tippecanoe Valley with the winners playing West Noble. Defending champion NorthWood plays Lakeland with the winner playing Fairfield.

Fremont opens its 2A sectional against hosts Westview and Whitko opens against Central Noble.

At Woodlan, the Warriors drew a bye and will face the winner of Churubusco and South Adams. Bluffton faces defending champion Canterbury and Adams Central faces Eastside.

In 1A, Blackhawk Christian opens against Elkhart Christian with the winners facing Lakeland Christian and Lakewood Park faces hosts Bethany Christian with the winners playing Hamilton.

At Wes-Del, Southern Wells faces defending champion Liberty Christian with the winner playing Cowan.
